This is a Java application designed to simulate the refraction phenomen and Snell’s law.
With the help of this little app, you will be able to study the connection between the minimization of the travel time and Snell’s Law. Take a look at how light travels when refraction occurs.

This app is a experiment to see how a stream of a low speed liquid enters in a container. The target of this experiment is to determine how the liquid get deflected when liquid enters in a container. There is also a rotating axis to see how liquid gets deflected when it’s moves in opposite directions. The floating of the liquid is also observed.

You may use this app to generate the image of the stream and the patterns of the liquid that gets deflected when it enters in the container. Also, you may change the speed, the size of the liquid, and the amount of liquid that enter in the container.

Feel free to change the values of the liquids in order to see the effect of the different liquids on the deflection of the liquid. Use this app as a field trip for your students to observe the deflection of liquids.

I have developed this application for the students in high school (ages 16 to 18 years) to see how the application of the Pythagorean Theorem is used in Mathematics. The students will be given real-world problems and they will be asked to solve the problems using the application.

The students will see that the Pythagorean Theorem has more than one application in Mathematics. The solution of the problems in the application will give them an idea that the Pythagorean Theorem can be used for solving equations and finding the greatest common divisor.

All students are expected to have a basic knowledge of mathematical concepts including Algebra. Students are also expected to have good knowledge of English since the solutions will be written in English.

Students who are interested in being part of this project are required to fill in an application form.
