After installation
There are a few things you need to know about the Autocad plugin and the installation of it.
• Make sure that the plug-in is installed correctly. You can check this by opening the Drawing Navigator window (press the Shift+F10 key combination) and then selecting the File menu. The Plug-ins menu should be displayed. If it is not, then the plug-in installation has failed. You can uninstall the plug-in by selecting the Autocad menu from the File menu and then selecting Uninstall. If the plug-in is already installed, then no action is required to uninstall it.
• A user may have multiple versions of Autocad on his/her computer. On the other hand, Autocad should have a single version on the computer. If the Autocad plugin is installed on more than one version of Autocad, then the plug-in will only work with that version of Autocad.
• If you are using the Visual Studio version of Autocad, then you need to have the latest version of Visual Studio as well.
• Do not use AutoCAD at the same time that the Autocad plug-in is installed. AutoCAD generates its own Autocad plug-in, which is a bit different from the Autocad native plug-in. You will end up getting errors.
There is also a solution to this problem. Download the Autocad native plugin from the Autodesk website. When you run the Autocad native plugin, it will unzip and install the Autocad native plugin.
Although Autocad native is not part of the Autodesk 360 suite, it is still a very useful tool. If you are working on a project, it is best that you use the Autocad native plugin instead of the Autocad plugin for the following reasons.
